Sight & Sound Young Journalist Competition

Are you a budding film interviewer? Would you like to learn how to interview film-makers? How would you approach the task – cross-examine them, provoke them, seek their confidence?

We're offering a young person, aged 16-24, a special interview training session with Nick James, editor of the international film magazine Sight & Sound – followed by the opportunity to test your newly acquired skills one-on-one with a film director at this year's London Film Festival. And finally, you'll get to publish the fruits of your work on the Sight & Sound website.

So if you're aged 16-24, inspire us with your answer to the following questions:

If you could interview any director in the world, who would you choose? Which five questions would you ask them if you were restricted to one theme or film?

Email your entry, along with your name, age and phone number to: journalismcompetition@bfi.org.uk

Submission deadline: 10am BST, 20 October 2010
