Animation Action
11.00-13.00: FREE drop-in family workshops
Discover different forms of simple animation, and create your own moving pictures inspired by the stunning surroundings of Somerset House
How to take part?
• Meet in the Learning Centre, Embankment level, Somerset House.
• Suitable for all ages
• Children must be accompanied by an adult
• Limited Spaces. Places are available on a first come first served basis, and families are welcome to wait until a space is available.
• The activity takes about half an hour

Discover the history of this magnificent building and how it has doubled as Buckingham Palace and as a square in St Petersburg. Visit places that have transformed into sinister Victorian backstreets, a mental asylum and a grand palace courtyard.

• Free tickets are available from 10.30 at the Information Desk, Seamen's Hall, South Building
• Spaces are limited so collect your tickets early to avoid disappointment
• Maximum 6 tickets per person
• Tours take approximately 45 minutes
